United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

Can someone post a link to the correct battery for a 59 plate tdv8 please.
I've had all sorts come up but don't have the rating that you lot are posting. Plus the s5 is coming back at massively different prices to the ones that are quoted on here.

Think my remote heater is killing mine as it's not even lasting a day now!

Thanks in advance. L322 TDV8 Vogue SE Java Black

Pick one from here.

https://www.tayna.co.uk/020-Car-Batteries-G438.html

If you already have an AGM battery, replace it with another. If not, you can use the cheaper wet cell batteries. It should be obvious from the listing and the existing battery whether it's AGM construction or not - but when buying £180+ is AGM and about £110 or less is wet cell. Unless you buy from Euro Car Parts or Halfords, of course, in which case all listed prices are higher. Euro Car Parts can sometimes be a sensible price and often convenient to collect from, depending on the deal of the day! Current: 2010 Range Rover L322

I've had a fresh wet cell battery on now for about 2 weeks.
My friendly LR mechanic came and did me a job in the ff yesterday and he checked the battery.
It's already started to deteriorate Sad
He recomends AGM batteries over wet cell every time

Bosch S5 is a load of Censored .... I had lots of issues and 2 replacements, then was advised about AGM and I've not seen a flat battery since.

Genuine (or branded OEM/AGM) Thumbs Up Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

This looks a good L322 AGM battery at a fair price.

Thoughts anyone? Is there better or better value elsewhere? 2006 4.2 SC

Had the AA around to jump start me and test the battery and alternator and they are both fine 😕.
I had the aux heater set though for 30 mins in a morning so I'm guessing it was that, turned it off not so will just have to see.
May install a volt meter for me to keep check. L322 TDV8 Vogue SE Java Black

I think I'm suffering from a cold battery running the heater in the morning as well. Quite often getting the 'click' noise from the engine but wait 10 seconds and it will start - battery not recovering quick enough I think.

I have a 12 plate with the original Varta AGM battery in which is an 019 size and it already looks a tight fit. Will I be able to fit a longer battery into the space in my year model as there is a bunch of extra computer junk stuck in the hole and the cables either side look pretty squeezed in already?

I'd like to fit an Odyssey in mine (PC1350), these are excellent batteries with loads of power that live a long time but are about 2cm longer than the one I have...

Had the dreaded one click too many before the FFRR fired up yesterday morning Shocked , so you can tell where this is going. Fired up fine in the evening on way from home but the relatively short journeys coupled with heated seats, heated steering wheel, lights, front and back demisters, heating etc etc, the dreaded click became two and then nothing Big Cry

Had to call the AA man out to give me a jump and he tested alternator, which is fine and it should be as just had it replaced at a cost of 900 quid! But he was quick to write off the battery so just latching on to this thread as in the market for a new battery. To be honest suprised the battery deteriorated so quickly? But have read enough threads to learn its not unusual.

However I have an OEM battery (VARTA) and its a 12v 90ah 850A AGM which suggests its a bit weak for a MY2010 fatty? Pinged an email to the local Indy and got a supply and fit quote of 295.00 which seems steep (or not?). Need to check exactly what they will be supplying.

Question is do i replace like with like or beef it up a little? Have read on another thread no ECU resets required so thinking of saving a few penny's? Please feel free to provide any advanced warnings of do's and don'ts Thumbs Up

Cheers

Had a go at fitting a spare 020 battery (Bosch one, as it happens - but that doesn't matter), which I had for my 2002 TD6 into my 2010 TDV8. It was always a tight squeeze in the TD6, but it does not fit the 2010.

The battery compartment is the same size, of course, but the +ve cable connection is no longer a simple battery clamp but also has some other gubbins attached. Not sure what it is, and it's only a few mm thick, but it definitely reduces the max length of a battery that will fit. The 020 size is 393mm long; the 019 size is 353mm long. Those 4cm matter, it seems.

So it appears that the maximum size of physical battery that will fit from at least MY 2010 is the 019, which was original fitment. Our practice of fitting a larger battery, common for early cars, isn't an option.

Any of the following will be fine. https://www.tayna.co.uk/019-AGM-Car-Batteries-G414.html

The cheapest is just under £150 delivered. The Varta OEM equivalent is £170 delivered. Technical specifications for all of them appear very similar - 95aH and 850a CCA.

No doubt there are other suppliers, who may even be cheaper, but I have used this company before and found them reliable and competitively priced.

I can't believe there is any need to pay anyone to fit a battery. It needs a 13mm and 10mm socket or spanner and no more than 15 mins of your time. I no longer feel the need to even put the bonnet into its service position as there is sufficient room without. It's a little easier if you drop the suspension to it's lowest setting before starting.

I don't have any battery problems at the moment, but it looks like I have an original AGM battery so surely at 6.5 years old and 108k miles it's on borrowed time! FBH still runs for 25 mins without shutting off, though, so thinking it must be reasonably OK. Current: 2010 Range Rover L322

Cheers Steveball Thumbs Up

I think I'll go with the Varta AGM and stick it in myself. Was just weary of the additional bits on the clamp and you don't get much headroom so may opt for the service position on the bonnet, will see? Even if it takes a methodical 1 hr to its worth saving 130 notes!

Glad you clarified the Bosch question as I was tempted to get the Bosch S5 from Europarts who are doing a good deal, well more or less matching Tanya on price.

Just replaced my 019 battery with the Varta I5 silver 020. Much better performance on starting and even got my tv picture back (although suspect this was due to hard resetting everything).

The 020 did fit in my 08 tdv8 fine but couldn't get the + connector on due to the safety/charge clamp that is fitted to my FFRR. Fortunately just had to trim the molded clamping lip off the right hand side of the battery and this gave enough room to get the + clamp down the side of the battery and connected. Happy days.

Always used Varta, decent price and never had problem with them. Current Family:

Embarassed I have the original battery in mine and white using the FBH heated seat/ wheel etc for the last month or so it seems to be giving up the ghost slowly, went out today to check it as it hadn't been on the CTek and it read 10.5 on the multi meter and just clicked when trying to start ( what is this about one click, two clicke etc I've read above?)

Back on the CTek overnight and see what it's like tomorrow,

If I need to replace should I go for AGM one ?
