is it me, i can only see the current rates on that site? there will naturally be some increases to current vehicles in budgets etc. but reading the full story, it's really only cars registered after April 2017 that will be affected by the new rules.

it does all seem to be a bit confusing, looks to me like regardless what the c02 levels are of your £250,000 supercar are, once it gets to be 6 years old then the owner will only need to pay £140 tax? Dan

👍🏻 that's the way it will work. It's just a way of getting more cash up front more quickly, short sighted in the long run as cars are lasting longer and longer nowadays so will spend longer running at the lower rates.
