headlight wiper motor issue?

Yesterday my fatty refused to start..battery is weeks old and has been performing great! Recharged it and I've done some checks, sat nav goes to sleep, fan speeds ok( unsure if this is a foolproof test for a bad fsr?) finally checked headlight wipers..new one I received from mr tee is great and my drivers side one has packed in..definitely had it! Pulled the fuse on them and keeping fingers crossed as I don't want to ruin the new battery!

My question is even if the headlight /washermotors dead will it cause a drain after the cars locked up? I've read somewhere it can cause a parasitic drain but thought it was worthy of a wee post anyhoo Thumbs Up

It's best to disconnect it or pull the fuse as mine had failed mechanically with the internal gearing but the motor was still trying to park the wiper. Sometimes removing the blade and operating the wiper if it will and then replacing it can solve it. There are second hand ones on eBay usually for around £30 but I needed mine in a hurry for an mot and paid over £300 for the pair....

Yeah I've pulled fuse 28, recharged battery and keeping my fingers crossed...what I fid notice was the battery was sitting at 9.5v ...huge decline in a few nights...it was dry (for once) up here and I hadn't even been using my wipers?
