2010 4.4 Autobiography. Low battery, please start engine.

I have only had the car for a week. I saw this message after I first used the FBH. I assumed the car had sat for a while and the battery was a bit low but I get it even when the car has just sat for a while. Yesterday I drove it 150 miles, this morning when I unlocked I had the message. The engine turns over quickly and starts well. The battery is marked as an AGM Land Rover one, I am wondering if it might be the original one. Is there anything which can be done usefully for diagnostics or is it just a case of get on and chnge the battery then reset the charge monitor with an IIDtool?

There is a software upgrade that sorts this problem out, from what I can make out the battery monitor is set too high and the slightest drop in voltage triggers the message.. Check with the steatlers who service the car, they should be able to tell if the update has been done. If the upgrade has been done then you'll be needing a new battery Sad

That's the bad news, but on a brighter note most "flat" battery issues have been fixed with the software Very Happy Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Thanks for that, I'll give them a call on Monday. Loving the car, smoother and quieter than the 3.6 with some extra poke when needed, a proper luxury car.

It seems there might be a little bit more to the story. I drove the car for 3 hours on Saturday morning and parked it up around 12:30. I then went to the car just before 6am this morning (Monday) and it wouldn't unlock. I can see that the red light around the hazard light switch is on, but it appears that the battery is dead.
I am contacting the garage I bought the car from as I have had it less than a week to see how they want to deal with it. It sounds like possibly a battery drain issue which will have also killed the battery. I didn't bother opening the car and jump starting it as it was dark and raining, I just took a different car instead and will investigate later. Not particularly happy, but this is my third RR so I kind of know what to expect. Rolling Eyes

Shocked That doesn't sound good for the battery.... still better to find out it's a dud a week after you brought it than 7 months down the road, at least it should be the Dealers pain to sort it Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Is their a TSB number for this software upgrade please.
I get this message if I sit listening to the radio for 10minutes, but fingers crossed, no other reason to doubt battery.

It sound like it is just the battery. After that was changed and the fault codes all cleared there was one which came straight back EGR fault A. So it sounds like there is an EGR valve issue as well. Also the lens is missing from the camera on the passenger side door which means it just doesn't work properly.
