How is your exhaust suspended at the rear? Do you have a tow bar fitted? John

I suspect that a previous owner has removed a tow bar and, not still having the original parts, has had those brackets made up.

I am just north of you in Mialet. It would probably be easier to do what you suggest rather than replacing with originals. I do have a set which came off when I fitted a towbar. John

well its ok if things go back the way they came off, but i generally find it not the case, !! but i will have a look and see if it would be easy enough to make up aa bracket od some sort

No problem. BTW, if I may, if you get an aerosol of black stove paint from your local quincaillerie it works very well on the silencer box being heat resistant and is cheap. Can't have shiney new exhaust tips without doing the exhaust box.

yes it does not look good does it and was my intention as you suggested; jus wondering about the originals, looking at the setup i have under the back, are your original eyes two individual pieces, and if so do you think it may be possible to mount them somehow to what i already have so they sit as they would have been, if not originally removed ?

They are two separate pieces. They are part of the ex-factory fitting. You couldn't mount them to what you have existing. They have a plate which goes up behind the bumper and gives the strength if used to pull something.
