Right, ignore all that rubbish I posted above, had a wade back through my emails and Erisin say to copy the update.img and mcu.img to an SD card and update with that...

I've downloaded and unzipped the file from your link and it has multiple files within..

They have sent a little picture pack to show you which button to press to update but they haven't said if you use all these files or not (two seem to be identical...!!!)

Maybe worth asking them what you do and then can you please update this thread incase anyone else wants to update theirs...

I have the Erisin unit in mine which the previous owner had installed. My wifi don't work, when you plug a iPod in you just get the name of the iPod and no music, the hands free reception is crap and it don't display names when a call comes in. I have tried the re set button also and it's just the same

I seem to remember trying to help you on some of these subjects when you posted a few weeks ago, but you didn't answer so I assumed you had sorted them.

I've put an Erisin unit in my car and am very happy with it thus far.

mattyp what Android number is it running... 4.2.2 / 4.4.4 etc?? Pete

I think I have to mention on here that if you try to update the software on these headunits, there is a distinct possibility that you will turn your head unit into an expensive paperweight.... just like all Android tablets/phones, etc

As I have said before I have fitted a lot of these units and also other makes like XTRONS, I have to say the Erisin ones are winning at the moment with reliability...

I have done a few software updates and never had a problem but there is always the chance it can happen....  Pete

How do I update it?

Copy all the files on the link above to the root directory of a blank sd card, turn off the unit, insert the SD card into the GPS slot, then a long press of the power button until the screen displays the update image ,remove your finger from the power button then press the button again, choose "update system/MCU image from/sd card" then a long press of the power button again until the update starts.

Having said that some have just done it all on their own after putting the card in and pressing the power button....  Pete
