The file will be a .rar file... needs to be loaded to the SD card as that's where it wants to boot from...

.rar.. tricky customers, there used to be only a few programs that would open them... seem to remember that I used winzip.... but I could be wrong, it was a long time ago Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

winzip does indeed do rar and zips.. ... - .- -.

You don't need to open the .rar just load it on an sd card and insert it then reset the unit and turn it on, it should boot from the card and load the new software... Pete

got to admit this is one of the reasons I'm holding back upgrading the stereo in car as tbh don't think I'm pc correct enough to sort out any problems with softare firmware etc even thinking of selling my gap tool bt one as the dam thing frightens the pants off me ! I'm not a techie at all ! |

It's really not hard, and the chances of having to mess about are pretty slim, I've fitted loads now and only had two that have needed software reloading and one of them was because I was playing to see what it would do....
