So the quicker I get the EGR valves changed the better the engine and my pocket will be. Range Rover quotes.....

Sorry thermostat housing. Because by the time you've removed the EGRs you've done all the work to gain access to it. If you've got some sign of leaks in the valley then it's worth changing as the O rings have a tendency to perish. Ed |

![]() ![]() As Mikey said, turbo failure is more likely from overspeed due to a blown hose, or, restricted oil supply... which could be caused by the EGR putting too much soot in to the induction side of the engine..... A diesel engine is dirty enough without dumping extra soot in to the heads.... Progress? Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one! So after all the head scratching above and answer seeking....... Can the car be driven slowly ie to the garage to be fixed and when the EGR valves are fixed what's the chances of the turbos being effected or going at a later date. Range Rover quotes.....

Fairly minimal I would have thought. Personally I'd only drive it to the garage and no other runs. Whilst I think the chances of damage are minimal if something does go then the bill will go up by at least one extra zero I would have thought, if you're lucky! Ed |
