Discoloured foundry grey trims?

My car has a matt foundry grey type finish on the grill surround and side vents but it looks patchy and discoloured as though it has has some harsh cleaning products used. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to get them back to original finish, or is it a case of getting them painted? Sad

Take it you mean the front grill and engine side vents?

Ah. The Brunel grey trim. More than likely a repaint, there never seems to be a lot of paint on them.
did my front grill and got the side vents and bonnet vent to do.

That's one of the more unusual uses of peanut butter spread I've heard of recently Whistle Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

Peanut butter has previously been recommended on the detailing world forum as a means of bringing tired exterior plastic trim back to life.
I'm assuming one would use the cheapest smooth peanut butter you could find because of its high palm oil content? Travelling around in circles again.

Peanut butter does work tbh on plastic trim, but it's an expensive route as a proper restorer will be the same once you use it a few times !!

I'd say remove and throw them in a local spray shop or get some rattle cans made up and DIY it. Colour code or keep as brunel but now's your chance to try Thumbs Up Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Peanut, or any other oil is a temporary solution to "some" trims, the unpainted grained plastic, the ones the OP is talking about are painted so peanut butter will just make squirrels attack them!!!

Look in the WIKI for my door handle refurb, the best paint match I could find is listed and all the painted trim can be refurbished the same way... Thumbs Up
