My FFRR is in for some warranty work today, this is the first time I’ve handed it over to the dealers since I bought it in September. As I live in Cambridge, its gone into Marshals who don’t have the best reputation, so I’m praying they don’t damage anything.

Approved used LR's come with a 12 month LR warrenty. Not that its worth the paper its written on. The stalling on cold start up has been put down to needing a software update, and software updates are not covered by the warranty. Neither is the blocked screen wash, or the clanking wipers Cheers JustinP Gone - Range Rover Supercharged 2006 |

Picked the car up this evening, and the wipers were silent whilst driving home in the rain - bliss

So did they charge you for the incidentals? |

They charged me for everything other than the door access height button, but I'm pleased with the silent wipers and the higher revs on cold startup, I still need to check the rear screen washer is working. Total cost £108 I still cant believe that a genuine LR used car warranty does not cover software updates, when a stalling car has been attributed to what is effectively a software bug. If I can be arsed I will write a letter voicing my disgust. Cheers JustinP Gone - Range Rover Supercharged 2006 |

Approved is NOT a genuine LR warranty. It's very very different! Land Rover Addict

My FFRR stalled again today on cold startup, so the ECU software update has not fixed the problem.

If it turns Ok and starts fine but then stalls its unlikely to be the battery I have same problem but the battery is perfect. I think it needs to be a bit richer at startup (choke effect missing) Last edited by Gazellio @ Prestige Cars on 29th Nov 2010 8:00pm. Edited 1 time in total |
