United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue SE Supercharged Java Black
My cars at the dealers today.

My FFRR is in for some warranty work today, this is the first time I’ve handed it over to the dealers since I bought it in September.  As I live in Cambridge, its gone into Marshals who don’t have the best reputation, so I’m praying they don’t damage anything.
I’ve asked them to look at the following

1.    Access height door switch does not work.
2.    Front wipers clank when the change direction, I'm sure its just the angle that needs adjusting, but as its going in under warranty they might as well do this.
3.    Read screen wash does not work, although you can hear the pump running.
4.    Has stalled a couple of times immediately after starting when its below 4 degrees C outside.
5.    Bonnet needs a couple of attempts to latch properly when its closed, I almost messed my seat when it popped up a couple if inches when joined the dual carriageway at the weekend

I’ve also asked them to check the battery.

So nothing to serious, but enough little bits to justify a trip to the dealers.

Cheers

Justin

I thought the extended warentee was an aftermarket one, sold by the main dealer.
When I took out mine on the 06 I got a pack through the post. It wasn't from Land Rover. Sad
And you had to pay the diagnostic charge yourself if it was needed to stop you putting it in the garage every 5 minutes.

Approved used LR's come with a 12 month LR warrenty.

Not that its worth the paper its written on. The stalling on cold start up has been put down to needing a software update, and software updates are not covered by the warranty. Neither is the blocked screen wash, or the clanking wipers Evil or Very Mad

Picked the car up this evening, and the wipers were silent whilst driving home in the rain - bliss Smile

So did they charge you for the incidentals?

They charged me for everything other than the door access height button, but I'm pleased with the silent wipers and the higher revs on cold startup, I still need to check the rear screen washer is working.

Total cost £108

I still cant believe that a genuine LR used car warranty does not cover software updates, when a stalling car has been attributed to what is effectively a software bug. If I can be arsed I will write a letter voicing my disgust.

Cheers

Approved is NOT a genuine LR warranty. It's very very different! Land Rover Addict

My FFRR stalled again today on cold startup, so the ECU software update has not fixed the problem.

Time for a new battery!

Cheers

If it turns Ok and starts fine but then stalls its unlikely to be the battery Confused

I have same problem but the battery is perfect. I think it needs to be a bit richer at startup (choke effect missing)
