New one from Land Rover would be mega money I would think. I have done 92k in my S/C and the gearbox is not great and slips a bit occasionally so i know eithera rebuild pr an exchange unit from LR is on the cards soon... Alex

Which box is in yours? I know the TD6 was a 5 speed, not sure about pre 2006 petrols though.

Sounds like failing torque converter, £200 for a refurb.

Been in touch with RR Phil & I'm happy that's the way forward. A remanufactured ZFHP24 & TC at a good price and not too far away to collect. Thanks for all the replies. 2002 Vogue 4.4 V8
