Hi the back just popped off with something flat Lift the back from the key blade end and it will come off

Where is everyone having their keys cut?

I went to Timpson but they botched it up - key goes into ignition but will not turn. Been to a few other places in London and they have all said that they don't have the right type of clamp to cut this kind of key?

Grateful for suggestions - Would rather not post the key out if I can help it but if needs must ...

Timpsons in Bracknell done mine OK. He did tell me no guarantee though, as I supplied the key.

Not to state obvious, have you changed transponder over? without it the key wont turn. SC 4.2, 2012 face lifted, 25K miles, 1 previous owner

Yes I have. I can hear it click as I put the key near ignition.

Tried with the old key whilst leaving the new fob next to the ignition and that did turn so am quite sure its the key - Although it does go into the lock OK.

Thank you Davo. Key programmed & blade cut. Working fine . Anyone needing keys cut in Lothian area recommend Apache in Dalkeith . Ps have you got a Landrover badge for key .

I have taken the 3 screws out but they key will not come apart so i can put my blade in. Did the key come with an active transducer? What doesn't kill you is just bidding it's time.
