High Mileage TDV8's

I would be interested to know how high a total mileage members would accept for A1 TDV8's at a bargain price? The question assumes the TDV8 is otherwise fully serviced and looks as good a low mileage example.

There would appear to be a number of high mileage TDV8's coming on the market from expiring lease deals at the moment and I was considering where the line was in terms of "too high at any price" ?

This is a generic question Martin please do not panic I will not try to sell anything to members Smile

Personally, no more than 15k a year for me.
As I do 15k to 20k and after I'd had it, it'd be impossible to sell at 5 years with around 100k on it.

I am talking about 57/07 plates with between 75-130k mls but otherwise in nice condition and priced according to mileage.

I think I would go to 90k if the price was right but would others buy a 125k TDV8 if it was a real bargain Question

no way, 100k is a milestone - after that they are goosed! - that is what a lot of purchasers think - only exception I have personally seen to very high mileage vehicles are that the only purchasers who are not put off are usually HGV / Long Distance Drivers are not frightened by high mileage figures

If you are going to do a fair milage in it yourself, I'd say no way.
If it's a weekend warrior, then fine.

Guess it depends on the buyer... but I'd avoid one with that milage like the plague.

I sold a Mercedes last year that I bought new, 200k on the clock and it still runs like a dream. The new owner says it's the best car he has ever had.

I think it all depends on the way the vehicle has been driven, you can buy a 20K vehicle that runs like a bag of spanners because the 1st driver/owner booted the crap out of it or you could buy a 100k vehicle that has been cared for and gives many more years service

high miles and highish cost would put me off, I don't have a problem spending £5 to £10k on a 100k runaround, but to spend £25k on a 100k miler Range Rover is a no brainer. If the cost of repairs don't get you the depreciation will - whereas one a few years older at £10 to £12k the dep will almost stand still for a few years if you don't do many miles whilst the mileage catches up with the average

OK then:

Vogue SE TDV8 75000 mls £32k YES/NO?

Vogue SE TDV8 95000 mls £29k YES/NO?

Vogue SE TDV8 120000 mls £27K YES/NO?

Assume FSH and very good condition all round...

These are 57 plates?
I only paid 40k for my Vogue SE 08 plate with 26k miles. So NO/NO/NO.
On the first one that's only 8k more for nearly 50k less miles and 6 months newer (mine is a June car) so plenty of LR warentee left.

me too sorry no,

As it is I usually buy new or ex demo. But if I was looking for a 3yr old TDV8 I would rather spend a few £k more and get one at half the miles.
