As a Brit living in France, I see every day the problems non-native English speakers have with the complexities of our language (and I am oh so grateful for the advantages having it as my mother tongue )

From what I've seen on various fora, there are a lot of native English speakers who have problems with the language.

You don't need to be born across the water to have problems - watch the expression on the face of the average English person when spoken to by a Scot - especially one who works outside Back in a Defender!! |

Surely this one wouldn't count as it should be After a number of injections my jaw got more numb. Plus if you then add the different ways of spelling the spoken version of our towns and villages that adds to the problem:- Slough - pronounced slow slaw slaaww - see I can't even type it without it meaning a different thing!
