Knowing your luck lately mate, I'd do it before, if you have to hire a car just get it valeted before you return it to get the dog mess out....

Stick a bottle of EGR cleaner in the tank before you leave, you may find by the time you get up to Inverness and back they are cleaned up and not sticking at 5% 56 TDV8 Vogue SE

Just landed back in the UK. Given I wasn't able to order parts we're going to have a play and hire a Jag XE for the drive up.
