absolutely right Charles, sorry for going off topic...

painting the exhaust box has to be one of the easiest enhancements that can be done to the FF.. ... - .- -.

here's a thought, everyone seems to be painting this box black and i wondered if it would look ok in another colour, maybe silver? ... - .- -.

That thought did occur to me, but remembering how I'd spotted it in the first place, I decided that camouflage was the best way to go, so I just made the silver bits black Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Quite different - it's entirely possible to use extra performance on the road, even if not always to its full extent, and that extra performance doesn't necessarily carry a compromise.

Anyway, it's annoying that pressure washing is so effective at removing the black paint.

So here's a thought - how about a Brazilian rear box - silver either side with black down the middle

2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

Any tips on spraying the rear box without getting paint on everything else? Do you have to remove it or do you mask what's around it? Put two Rhodeasian Ridgebacks in a Range Rover and pretty soon it's their Ridge Rover.

Having done the job, I would first recommend a good pressure washing to shift any dirt and loose paint.... then run the engine to dry the box out... and park it else where Shift in to high mode and with the aid of a bit of carpet or a blanket (old ) lie underneath and spray with a rattle can in a colour of your choice.... but black is the popular one around here

As long as you take your time and don't rush it with the paint, there is very little chance of getting it every where.... I just sprayed what I could see... running on the logic that if I couldn't see it from under the car there is no way that you'd see it standing behind Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
