Don't know much about the old style head units but the newer 07MY on are run off a plastic fibre optic network. If one of the components goes down (mine had a drowned Bluetooth unit) then it kills the entire network.

It's early 04 tried battery disconnect and fuses 8 and 48? Under cd changer just no power on light on head unit |

No there aren't, have you followed the proper battery disconnection procedure, it's in the WIKI..

There's a 10A fuse in the top of the radio BM54 unit. Remove the large connector plug from the unit and it can be seen underneath. No reason a flat battery should cause it to blow but you never know. |

My 2002 radio one day didn't work. I suffered for a month, and eventually, tried the battery disconnect procedure, and now it's working. But the cd is dead. I can live with that. Sort of scared to fiddle again, in case it's screws up. |
