CO poisoning has been in the news around here. I only thought acute poisoning was a problem (I.e. Get to fresh air FAST and you're fine), but it seems that prolonged exposure can cause ongoing health concerns. Just something to bear in mind... |

Mine smells of fuel when starting up and reversing off our drive. Hadn't noticed this thread until now - my car is due a service next month and I'll get the dealer to look at it. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB |

I have a 15.5MY SDV8 L405 and a 16MY SDV6 L494. No issues on the L405 but intermittent issues for the L494 with very high levels of fumes. This is normally not after a FBH operation but when it comes on to assist cold starts on a normal day.

Sounds a typically LR response - maybe they need to buy some German engineers. |

@Ryan@LandRover: thanks for your help but my local dealer in Stuttgart advised me that there is a fix from LR and he is ordering the parts for me to get it done All my spelling errorz are belong to me!

I'd be interested in knowing what this 'fix' is.

Well mine smells *gasoline* when the temperature is below 6 degrees C - when i drive backwards and when i am stopped at a red-light towards a hill - as soon as i drive forward it disappears - i agree with you that the car shouldn't smell like this from the inside.... All my spelling errorz are belong to me!

Starting to get headaches when driving my car on cold days. Not sure if it's a coincidence.

Our 5.0sc AB eventually went back when the dealer admitted defeat over the continued gasoline smell in the cabin. Circumstances of it sound very similar to those of our German correspondent.
