Good morning all I am looking for some help I have just been out in my car and the transmission fale safe came on so I plugged in the iidt tool and it has registered a fault it is coming up as line 4 pressure solianoid fault can any body tell me have they changed one them self and is it a easy job ect ect

Has your g/box been refurbed at all?.
Have you tried the search?.
Lots of info on here regarding the gm g/box.
you may be able to access the valve block from underneath with sump off, but I am no expert in auto boxes.
the valve blocks do wear as they are made of a soft alloy.
I don't want to be the grim reaper, so best get it checked by specialist if your not sure.

The solenoids can be removed after dropping the sump pan. There’s no need to even remove the valve body assembly - in fact the process is even covered by RAVE.

Your transmission has five solenoids, three of which are identical parts. Both GM and Land Rover label them as :

A (for 1-2 shift control)
B (for 2-3 shift control)
C (for 4-5 shift control)
TCC (for torque converter lock-up control)
Pressure Control (for controlling transmission line pressure)

Cheers for that phill do you think I would be better changing them all where is the best place to get them from ect I have noticed that going from 4th to 5th there is a jolt but the rest are smooth cheers

The solenoids are available from Land Rover under the following part numbers:

A, B & C solenoid = LNN 000020 - cost approx. £70 each

I realise this thread is over a year old....just wanted to check if you ever solved this?
I've got exactly the same message/issue and have been trying to get to the bottom of it. I'm now at my wits end and after sifting through pages of google results, amazingly came across this!....so I'm hoping you might be able to answer it?
I'm leaning towards it being the torque converter lockup solenoid...
