New discs and pads front and rear (thanks to Dan) , passed MOT for another year  The worst thing about being retired is you miss out on all the bank holidays

I fitted the painted handle covers I received from powerful uk .
Having seen a few rovers driving around with chrome covers with missing over the years , I decided to add a little sticky goo .
The tape they come supplied with was marked 3m so should be good enough for the task , but I noticed it was peeled slightly on one handle and as they're painted with the tape applied I knew that little area would not stick .
One word of advice : inspect all the pieces first before you stick them on , as 2 pieces had a slight rough edge so these went on the passenger side facing down so it wouldn't be seen or touched when used .
I only did a trial fit on the drivers side and all seemed well , but when it came to fitting the last one on the passenger side it was faulty
Nothing big , but disappointing .
On all the other doors there is a fine gap between the cover and the handle , but on the faulty one it isn't cut parallel so it's the same small gap at the top , but a bigger gap at the bottom .
All in all I'm happy with them and they make the car look a lot better .
Especially as I got them for free using eBay bucks
They come with 5 covers , so you can cover the keyhole in the drivers door , or leave it open .
I left it with a key hole even though I've never used a key in the door .
Sod's law if I covered it up I'd need to use a key ....

^^ looks good mate. Love mine. I used a heat gun to warm up the handles real good then applied the covers. This way I didnt have to do the whole masking tape thing. 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

Today I cursed mine !! Returned after parking up to find that gear lever was simple gliding between park and drive and no gears where being selected. Crawled underneath to find that the cable had become detached.Waited for RAC as wasn't sure if I had lost a clip or something but it turned out it just needed putting back in a slot and tightening up ! Put it on high suspension settings which made life easier for

Passed MOT with 2 advisories, rear brake pipes signs of corrosion and handbrake needs adjusting. Will sort these out in the next couple of months. Supercharger belt and tensioner identified as making ticking noise. Booked in to get sorted at end of next month. Overall over the moon! Previous cars:

If you're running stock tyres you'll be reading high on your speedo anyway ....

Fitted the steering wheel reach nylon nut thingy that ulrich11-59 sells on ebay.
Took about an hour and now no noise!

Also used some leather repair stuff from ebay. Instructions were gently wipe the colour matched stuff over the scratch/scuff/wear mark leave for 5 minutes and retreat if required - so good I could not see where I had applied it so had to buff the whole leather interior!

Changed the engine oil and filter. The job is not made easy by the location of the two sump plug drain positions.
I loosened the first one (nearest the front of the vehicle) until it was just about to fall out and let the oil drain for 1/2 an hour. This stopped it spurting all over the engine cradle. The drain nearest the rear of the vehicle looked like it had not been touched for years. Thankfully after draining the first one, only around 1/2 litre came out, all over the rear of the engine cradle. Oil filter replaced and filled up with oil.
Whilst jacked up and on a axle stand I decided to change the front diff oil, so started to take off the nearside front wheel, that's where my next problem started. Swollen stainless steel wheel nut covers. After 20 minutes the wheel was off, as a temporary measure I cut off the covers on all the wheel nuts.
Drained the diff oil, this was a very dark brown but clear, so no water mixed in with it, but it smelt a bit off as though it had been in for a long time.
Before fitting the wheel back I cleaned all this crud off the front strut.

appj62...Whilst searching for another FFR, I've been putting them through an MOT History check. Not a single one has come back with out the rear brake pipes corrosion advisory !!
