if you take the under tray off you should be able to connect a positive jump lead to the back of the alternator and the negative anywhere on the engine.

I don't see why it wouldn't, it'd be the same as putting it straight to the battery, doing the same to the starter should have the same effect. If you have a 13pin or twin 7 pin towing electrics that's another point you can feed power to the car. |

Front fog light Haven't heard that one before - it wouldn't have a permanent live connection there would it ?

You should be able to connect onto the large cable connection on the starter on a TD6 without dismantling anything.

I also read about using the front fog light ,but on every occasion they refer to using the near side ? 2007 tdv8 se ,stornaway grey |

just had a look at the wiring diagram, i can't see how feeding power to either fog lamp would give a permanent live. |

apparently there is a way in through the number plate light and pop the tailgate, maybe do a search? although I am sure it hasnt been open posted |

My recollection of the 2004 car was that it had a physical key that could unlock the driver door - is that not right?

You're right it does, but i have an idea if it's superlocked (aka dead locked, double locked) the key doesn't work. |

As said above, have you tried the key, just been reading my manual for my 2008, it states that superlocking occurs automatically with remote and key locking. No mention key lock being isolated
