Phone Bluetooth Issues

today noticed that the phone hadn't paired and when I tried it kept on failing, deleted the pairing on the phone and tried to discover the phone BT - couldn't find it.
the hidden menu on the touch screen showed that the phone system was BT.

tried to flash the ECU but after a couple of minutes it came back with error E 4.

Not sure if anything in the CCF has got messed up but for the Audio system my current settings are :

With the help of Patrick@GAP, via email, the issue with my phone's bluetooth has been resolved.

Cause - water ingress inside the ECU. the contact was good but the board had been sitting in some water and started to corrode

Cleaned up with contact cleaner and everything dried out.

Also the plastic water shedder had been fitted but had been pushed to the back and was not protecting the ECUs - again this has been remedied

A big thanks to the guys at GAP for helping to resolve an issue that had nothing to do with the tool/software. Bow down Thumbs Up Regards
Mark

Is it possible to turn on lights (similar to FMH) when unlocking the vehicle? This is on a 2008 RR. Not sure if it was ever an option to begin with, however would be handy with dark nights closing in!

Thanks Stan, already upgraded the interior ones to LED, might do the puddle lights also. Was hoping there would be something to turn the sidelights or something on if they are left on auto and its dark outside, similar to other vehicles. Thanks anyway!

Hello again,

I did not know, but when I waited for my wife shopping Christmas food, I played a little with my IIDtool and my Iphone on the parking outside. I tested a couple of the io`s and then just for fun pressed the switch folding in the left mirror - and swip... one second - it folded perfectly in along the door! Mr. Green
So, I think, if the motor is in there I want to use it!
When I turn off the ignition it should fold in automatic.

Don`t you all agree ??

So my question is - do IIDtool support programming the right cpu for that? An yes, my car is an old 2003 Smile

You can use the button to fold them in any time you like but as Stan appears to have confirmed, they can't be programmed to fold in when you turn the car off on older cars. It's a feature I'd like to have. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

There is an aftermarket solution for that but it does involve wiring and removal of door cards etc. I'll have a google for it.

Mark,
Can you point out where in the engine bay the ECU is located. I'd like to check this my self as I have the same model. Thanks, Pete. ______________________________

link to where to get the needed materials? The GAP link didn't seem to work? I'm assuming I need the odbII adapter and an app from itunes?

Just ordered the Carly for my M5 and can't wait to start playing with it. Seeing if I can do the same sort of things with the Range...maybe I'm being overzealous and risky getting into all the computer units of these cars Twisted Evil 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

2010 LCD- panel

Hi, is there any way to hack the system, that main instrument panel would show radio stations or nav guidance etc.?
______
Answer is to myself no. Parametrics for it is missing, totally. Both h/w and s/w. Main cluster with graphics drivers are from FoMoCo and satnav (independent module and peripherals) from Bayern Motor Werke / Japanise Alpine or similar. There is no hardwire link between these 2. Correct me, if I'm wrong.
