yeah go for a resistor, less heat generated than the bulb. Dan

No need for a separate resistor if you get the right type of led bulb. Look for "canbus" bulbs when searching on e-bay etc. These have a small load resistor built in. 2007 TDV8 VSE

I cant see where that has been mentioned IE canbus bulbs. Was only trying to help. Get proper canbus bulbs and they WILL have a load resistor built in 2007 TDV8 VSE

Ivor's expired halfords link was for proper expensive canbus bulbs , thats what i meant by 'mentioned'....

these were the ones i got which also say 'canbus' ...they didnt work until i loaded them with one of the old bulbs..

the mirror lights seem to be picky at which canbus bulb will work or not .. ... - .- -.

United States 2014 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Causeway Grey

^^

Somehow I found a set that work in the mirrors. I had an extra set of LED bulbs from my M5 that happened to be the same socket. Put them in and low and behold work great. Light up when locking/unlocking, dim on/off, the whole nine. Tried another set in the mirrors before the set that work and no dice. No idea but I'm not complaining...looks SO much better and updated. 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

the logo ones are sized for the bottom of the doors which makes them to big for the mirror lights.....i suppose you could fettle them in somehow. ... - .- -.

I reckon they would be too far away for a defined image in the mirrors Stan...

United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Epsom Green

Hi, I got an interior LED kit from xenon bulbs, great bulbs, all phillips as well, did the number plate and front side lights as well, no errors at all.

I also got some projector LED's (not logo) for the mirrors, as mentioned they just flickered once so did craigs tip and wired them into the puddle lamp in the bottom of the door, worked a treat Very Happy

great info on here as usual Very Happy 03 TD6 vogue....Epsom, very nice
