Rear upper tailgate interior trim metal securing clips

Good evening to you all some assistance required if anybody can help.
I am trying to locate the metal spring clips that hold on the plastic piece of trim on the upper tailgate interior. It's the long piece of trim that covers the rear wiper motor on the interior. mine is very loose and annoying when going over bumps. Upon removal I noticed quite a few of the metal spring clips missing which attach the trim to the rear upper tailgate.
If anybody can assist do they know a LR part number for these or maybe a link to someone who supplies these. I have seen a few on ebay but the seem to be universal applications and I'm not sure if they will fit. I'm guessing it may actually be a LR stealer part. any assistance would be great

Did you actuallly manage to remove the panel without breaking the plastic tabs on the pane ?

I broke nearly all of mine trying to remove it. Is there some magic spell one has to pronounce before tugging at it?

I'm guessing mine must have different clips. If they hadn't broken then aligning it to put back would be the easiest thing. I ended up filing off what remained of the plastic tabs on the trim panel and glued strong magnets to it to keep it in place instead of the clips.

There's no way the spring metal clips on the tailgate structure would ever break or come loose.

What year is your RR ? Mine is 2003 or 2004 Vogue.

The warmer the plastic is, the better, to get it off you have to pull straight against the prongs to stop them snapping, to get it back on put the metal clips into the tailgate and line up the plastic prongs by looking under the edge, once a couple are lined up it will push on straight, just be patient with it... Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Pete

Most of mine were loose when i pulled the trim off to do the wiper motor the other week. either not pushed home properly or attached to the trim when i took it off, they're not in there that tightly.

Mine is the same all loose and rattling about, so annoying. I'm going to order up the clips and give it a go. If all fails then Gaffa tape to the rescue Rolling with laughter

it looks to me like someone had been there before and put the clips on the trim before pushing it on, so half of them weren't located to start with. It's on there pretty well now, but the clips are a bit loose in their holes until you push to trim into them.

It's a right PItA to get on right, I took mine off one the old one to do the wiper motor leak. It had been to the bodyshop for a new upper boot lid, and when I stripped it down I found that half the nibs were missing. Managed to get it back on okayish after with some bending and twisting.

The problem is the don't all locate into the boot in the same direction! Some are straight and some angled a bit which is what makes it tricky! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
