It's a right PItA to get on right, I took mine off one the old one to do the wiper motor leak. It had been to the bodyshop for a new upper boot lid, and when I stripped it down I found that half the nibs were missing. Managed to get it back on okayish after with some bending and twisting.

The problem is the don't all locate into the boot in the same direction! Some are straight and some angled a bit which is what makes it tricky!

When i changed my wiper motor i was dreading doing the cover, i knew either the tabs would break off the cover or it wouldn't clip back in properly. As it happened it came off easily and went back on really firmly! I was quite shocked to be honest!

Talk about a pain in the you-know-what Smile

Found this thread looking for the metal retainer part number EYC500300 (thank you @northernmonkeyjones and the rest of the forum membership).

I've since discovered I'm also missing 2 clips from someone previously botching the refitting of the right side trim panel.. add to this I've lost an additional 2 down the interior of the hatch while chasing a rattle and adding sound deadening (I've since recovered the two I accidentally pushed into the hatch cavity by using a magnetic pick-up tool)
