Brake wear warning ...Grrrrr

So the check brake pad light comes on and I duly whip off the relevant wheels front and back. No sign of the sensors having been worn down though.
Have recently just had a sticky calliper problem on the front nearside and the pads where a tad thinner than on the drivers side so splashed out £40 for a set of pads and a new sensor cable.
Surprise... warning message and light still there so after trying assorted methods to reset, gave up and decided to order wear sensor cable for rear in case it had a break in it. It's now arrived in but worry not the %%£$&* warning message has cleared !!
I'll stick it in the drawer then.

could be you have a high resistance contact in one of your connectors - the brake wear sensors are wired in series so a high resistance anywhere in the circuit will bring on the lamp Big Cry 2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)

If you google, you will find that lovely Powerfuluk guy with his piano ensemble tinkling away, telling you how to prove your brake pad sensor, and resetting etc, mine was the rear one. And you only need a paper clip.

They are only about £10 be careful you don't mislocate it as you are coupling, and bend the pins! That's what I did!

Check Brake Pads warning

In my case, sensor had fallen out and worn through against wheel/hub causing fault. Pads fine.

Replaced sensor. Warning fault prevailed.

The fix is:

Turn ignition on and leave it for + 20 seconds, Red light should go out along with black triangles.

Cycle the ignition again and all should be well .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink
