Thanks Pete, I've painted this with anti rust coat but you have reason, this will need a deep treatment! |

There are lots of ignition live wires in the waterproof box under the bonnet, I needed one for the fans, just had a probe about with a meter till I found one then ran a relay from it... Pete

great work. Been wanting to upgrade the stock fogs on my 2008 to LED but have not b/c I don't want to deal with the headache of splicing/tapping into wires/relays and the malfunction lights on the dash etc.

Finally, I've dismantled whole front for rewiring correctly. Osram´s permit a optional wiring to have a 80% of DRLs when position lights is enabled. Instead of connecting the brown wire to ground must be connected to positive, and the dimmer effect is achieved....I like this! Also I made the new wiring to so that the system can be removed without cutting wires.

My "technique" to weld: First, I removed the pin from connector and retired the seal. I sanded the pin with a file and insert the wire, then weld it. Insert the pin into connector and seal. Secure with strip.

Pete, I found the appropriate wire! When ignition turned off allows DRLs 20 seconds courtesy and then off. Perfect! In the row, third connector (black)
I welded the blue wire... And power wire... Routing harness... Clean!!!

Now I work to embed the Osram fuse in the FFRR fuse box. I bought a Mondeo fuse box to try to do it.
