Shocked Whistle Whistle That's the coolant capacity Wink

I know that it's around the 5 ltrs mark, but I don't ever remember getting a full can in, however I will admit to never running the system dry, cos the Censored death bong and screen of doom has started and driven me nuts Evil or Very Mad

So I'll rephrase that, when the death bong tolls you can get 4-5 ltrs of screen wash in the system Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Correction the washer is 5litres on the 322 but there is a larger capacity one in the 405 for £30 as an optional extra...

Cooling system is a small 17litres!!! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

No no Sir. Our local Shell has attended service every day from 10.00 to 18.00. Mind you, they charge more than the supermarkets.

Or just because they don't have a pre-heater! Car history includes: LR Series 3, RR Classic x 4, LR 101, Discovery 1 and 2 and now FFRR.

Is there an alternative to LR antifreeze. I have some OAT in the garage but not sure if it's suitable.

I did check the condition of mine today with a tester and it read that it was good for -37 but not sure how long it's been in there.

Yes, any decent quality OAT will do. Land Rover will just buy it in from Bluecol or someone anyway.

For screen wash I get the 25l drums of concentrate off the usual auction site for £19 delivered and then dilute 50/50 into empty smaller 5l containers ready to top up the car each weekend. Works out less than 40p a litre.

I also have a small folding metal snow shovel in the boot as well just in case with a towing pole and a rolled up tow strap with U bolt shackles. Current Fleet:-

Should I load up the boot with 3 days supply of canned sausage and beans? Just in case I get stuck?

I think I recovered 3 persons in normal cars last year, so have upgraded the tow strap this year. I might invest in a universal towing eye, as no one ever knows where theirs is! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I used to stop, when cars had towing eyes, but now it's all too much and the AA just love to tow people, so I tend to let them get on with it. Unless it's someone I know or I'm flagged down, I just keep on going. And in this time of injury ambulance chasing "lawyers", is it wort taking a risk in a possible suit for helping someone? Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
