How have we worked out it rides better on 20s than 19s ? I've not tried 20s but you would have thought the ride would be less comfy but the steering sharper......

Mine seems better having fitted 2 new tyres on the front. I think the sidewalks get less flexible with age......

I'm sort of saving for a 4.4 tdv8, but am thinking the price to change is just silly now. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Aren't the wheel sizes available for your model shown on the door pillar? I had 22" wheels on my L322 but eventually changed them for 20" and felt no difference in ride really.

Haven't tried any other sizes due to vibration issues, although have found the vibration is a lot worse when in access mode, pulling out of drive and manoeuvring at slow speed in access mode. I used to take mine out of drive in stationery traffic, as the car Manuel says but have since been told don't bother if it's not going to be a long time.

Although you mention the driveshaft through the sump as a reason for wheel vibration on the TD6, the Petrol models have the drive shaft through the sump too (at least on the BMW lump). It's probably more just the harmonics of a straight 6 that did it.

FYI the cure to this phenomenon was to fit revised length driveshafts... I think they were a touch longer but I can't 100% remember also, the lower the car was, the worse the problem became... So was worse on access than in off road position for example

The above came in with the facelift front end in 05 ish when they moved to 19" wheels...
