Great colour and spec Jonesy. Grey 10 spokes look the nuts too. Slightly wishing I was back in mine - D4 Lux is ok but it's no match for l322, interior finishes and build quality inc metal thickness on panels etc no where near as good as old Bertie 3.0 VSE - 2015MY

Fitted the dash cam which arrived today.

Used the method which I now believe is in the wiki, but because it's a 2010-> then it has mini blade fuses, not the standard type, halfords do a fuse jumper, which will do the job. (They are available online for less). I had a spare 12v socket and some wiring.

I used one of the dash end clip holes for the earth, and there is a spare switched fuse at the bottom of the glove box fuse board, just the one, the rest of the spare ones are perm live. Connected and crimped up, works a treat, switches off and on as it's supposed to and I didn't have to "modify" the wiring for the car in any way! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Off to La Rochelle for a week with the family, so it will be a real test for the FF, load it to the roof with hats and suncream, and blast down the autoroute!

Hopefully we should be there and back incident free, however that will no doubt be too simple! Looking forwards to the run in the 4.4, should be pretty stress free brake problems spoiled the last few runs down to the south in the old 3.6. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I am FFless for a week now.....

Has finally gone in to have the rear tailgate done at the Local MD, well the very swanky bodyshop they use in any case..

should be without it for a week, and have been loaned a Discospurt again. But it is a manumaul, so not the best option  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

The FF is back

new rear tailgate done under warranty, as expected. Chartwells seem to have made a decent job of it and have waxoyled the inside of the boot to try to stop it happening again.

Only gripe was a slightly grubby drivers seat when the car got handed back. shiny as a new 50p on the outside though. 2 mins with the Gliptone and all was back to flawless  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Have had it back in perfect nick for less than 24 hours, took it out today to be greeted by clouds of white smoke on booting it and then to add insult to injury I managed to kerb an alloy when it was turning round!!!! I swear that if it starts behaving like the 3.6 then i will be sorely tempted by something Korean......... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Fortunately the spare is the same smoked grey, and has a scorp with similar tread! So all is not lost! Hope I can get it refurbished in the same colour without having to get the whole set done! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
