And now to top off what has otherwise been a pretty nice weekend, swmbo has caught the gate post with the Skoda, not her fault by all accounts, some one had parked in an alkward place, yet somehow I have managed to manoeuvre both the disco and the ff in and out of the drive this morning...... Going to need filler and paint...... Or not as the case may be. Fed up of having it painted, she dented it, she can live with it

I did however swap over the scuffed wheel from yesterday for the spare, which on inspection also had 5mm of tread left. It's on an 15/11 dot code so is probably one of the original tyres but looks in decent nick and will do the job until they all get changed, or knowing the ocd in me the scuffed wheel will get taken to the wheel shop on Monday for some fresh grey paint.....

And still no more white smoke...... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Either caught it Re-Gening itself? Or could be one of the intake pipes? There is a replacement manifold intake pipe X4 available ... Pull the top cover off the engine and see if the four small intake pipes are plain flat pipes? Or shaped & reinforced with corrugations? That would mean they have been replaced as they are as prone to splitting as the 3.6 ones were

Have treated the FF to a new set of boots today. 4 new 255/50/20 pirelli scorpion Zeros, which Malvern in burton did me for 630 all in. Which isn't too bad at all as they are £150 each from Oponeo at the moment.

Kept the old ones as they have a reasonable amount of tread 4mm, but will do a a spare set, or find a nice set of 20" for the disco..... the selection of part worn tyres in the garage increases yet again......

4 18" 255/60 on disco rims
2 for the skoda
4 255 55 19 winters which won't fit on anything at the moment...

i have added one of these to the back as there is no proper land rover badge on the 2012 cars.

not every ones cup of tea no doubt, but I quite like it.



its also just had an inspection 2, and a new drivers side heated mirror. The dealer diagnosed a problem related to the slight hiccup at cruise as a software update to the PCM module, but their update computer which is apparently not the diagnostic unit, is bust, so I will have to wait until it gets fixed to get the update done.

other wise all is running well now something will break! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Just got me a set of 19" 4.4 wheels,

Well the old girl ran all the way down to the alps and back with barely a murmer.

No breakdowns, no fault lights, no funny vibrations, no blown turbo hoses or manifolds, started at the push of a button after sitting for a week in the basement car park. and arrived back after a 1 1/2 day drive pretty refreshed and not too worse for wear.

Then had to clean the car out as child 2 had been car sick, my fault as i was hooning it down from the mountain to Bourg St Maurice to try and get ahead of the bad traffic,

only 2 things annoyed me, it has developed a slight front brake squeak which I will sort when I swap my wheels back over, also the toll tag failed to work, which wasn't the cars fault, was down to a WiFi dash cam....... so my bad too. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
