Back to the problematic rear door module, help please

Right.

When I purchased the ff about a year ago the drivers side rear door module packed in. I swapped the module over from driver to passenger to prove this.

Ordered a new module from mk landrover and fitted it.

Door lock now worked and the window etc, However i found that the one touch up would not work. In the end i left it but then decided i would try again.

I just ordered another new module from dan, fitted it and still no one touch up. Even after trying to programme it.

If i swap the module over from door to door the window with the old working module does as it should in either door. Could it be possible i have 2 faulty door modules from lr????

If the old one works in both doors it proves its not a door issue surely?? or am i missing something.

Please any one chip in as its frustrating me.

Cheers, Steve. You remind me of a young me, not much younger mind, perhaps even a little older!

Doesn't the one touch have to have the position re-learned?

You have to teach the module where open is and where closed is. If i remember correctly on my Jaguar you had to open the window from the drivers door and when open hold the button down for 30 sec or something, then close the window but keep the button held up for 30 sec, so the window learned where closed was. It's to do with the anti-trap system, i think the same applies to most cars.

I think The wire for the anti-trap/release is somehow connected to the one touch facility? I have just replaced the regulator in my rear dvr side door and the one touch only worked when I had re plugged the aforementioned wire in. It hangs down in the leading edge of the door and plugs into a tiny flat spade socket in The wire loom below - I would make sure it hasn't separated.

(Will try and get pics up later today) Thumbs Up

Thanks guys, but already tried the learn function, all other windows done, like i say, if i put the other module in, it works one touch up.

Its the new modules that seem to be at fault.

IID tool has a setting for one touch on or off, maybe the module default is off and needs to be turned on?

Ill plug in the iid and have a look.

Old module works in both rear doors, window up and down one touch.

Both new modules, in either door, all works except the one touch up feature. Its very bizarre.Thats why I'm wondering if, a: as my motor is an early my10 something is different, of b: i have been supplied 2 dodgy modules, maybe a bad batch?????? its been known.

I've got a similar problem, the "one touch" up or down does not work on the rear door drivers side. I only really noticed it when I tried to use the "lazy unlocking" feature which is supposed to open all the windows and the sunroof - sunroof didn't budge at all (works normally otherwise) and the rear door window won't close or open fully without repeated actuation via the switch.
I don't suppose I am that bothered but if you do find the fix get it posted on here please. Very Happy Geoff

Iid says one touch enable disable. Nothing else. So, who knows.

I can't find this in the IIDTool menu can someone point me in the right direction. I have disabled and then enabled the windows dosing/opening from the remote. This didn't make any difference but I'd be keen to try the disable/enable of the one touch closing but can't find it. Also what's the procedure to teach the windows what they need to know to work properly. Geoff
