IID Fault code

Hi, I'm currently searching for a power leak in the car. Have replaced the FSR, but with no effect.
After clearing the fault codes with the IID tool, I continue to get the following faults:
"•B1A02-13 (2F) Speaker 2 circuit - General electrical failure - circuit open"
"•B1A01-13 (2F) Speaker 1 circuit - General electrical failure - circuit open"

Anyone that knows anything about these codes? Where could there be a circuit open - i.e. where to start to search?

I also get this error message "•B1A56-18 (2F) Antenna circuit - General electrical failure - circuit current below threshold".

Could anyone of these 3 faults have anything with the power drainage?

Not really, open circuit means there is a break somewhere in the system, could be the speaker has failed or wiring has worn through somewhere or their just not plugged in...

circuit current below threshold means it's not getting enough current.... could be a blow fuse....

There is an article in the WIKI to help find a power drain.... Pete

Do you know where the "B1A02-13 (2F) Speaker 2 circuit" is? I think that this could be related to the drainage.

That is a valid comment! It's just thàt I'm grasping for a clue where to search for the power leak.... It might be that fault codes could indicate where another circuit was leaking?

The HVAC fan in the dashboard (that sucks air to measure the cabin temp) is always on. Even after I've replaced the FSR...

As Craig says, those faults are on a lot of your year so ignore them they are red herrings...

Buy a cheap multimeter that reads amps, put it inline with the battery lead. Then start pulling fuses one at a time until you find the draw... that's the basic way....

Don't forget to leave the bonnet and door open for longer than 16minutes for the car to power down and be very careful when you replace fuses that are next to blank holes as putting one back in wrong could be an expensive mistake Pete

You have made my day. Whenever I use the IID I get those speaker errors showing up. I've been puzzled as the radio DOES work. I've just been procrastinating about it. To hear that it's an official "don't worry, they all do that" is very reassuring.
Many thanks.

Hey Erik,
You have (or had) a very similar sounding issue as me (4.4 TDV8, HVAC system stays active draining 0.2amps all the time). I also have the two open circuit on speakers fault codes too.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this issue, what was it for you?

I investigated quite a lot back then (measured the different circuits / fuses) to find the source of the drain in the ffrr - drain was fixed after replacing the FSR and the BT module. Of course also replaced battery twice since then - now using an AMG battery that works fine.

Haven't had any power leakage since 2016 Smile !

Glad you were still subscribed to the thread! Thanks for that!

I have a feeling it's no the FSR - you mentioned in this thread the drain persisted after swapping the FSR too, but perhaps bluetooth module or similar is where I need to look. I think I'll be spending my weekend pulling fuses Smile
