if you want to pull away faster hold the brake with left foot then press right to 1500ish revs then let go if you want to pull away quicker, the tuning boxes i believe take a lot of lag away as my old td6 had one no probs for years but no idea if there reliable enough for new models _____________________________________________________

Sounds like a great way to break something to me

Tried switching auto terrain to manual road and it does feel a bit better but doesn't allow setting off in 1st on mine (didn't turn off traction control) so perhaps their is an update that changes it do drop to 1st?

Deffo better though.

I've been in discussions with Blue Spark about their top box that does fuel and boost, their guys are very helpful, very knowledgeable and the box comes with a no quibble refund if I'm not happy so I might try one, its easily removed if I change my mind.

The L405 SDV8 is a good car, I'm getting 33mpg from it with a mix of spirited and standard driving, just want a bit more response low down then it will be a very good car for me.

Its in to have the suspension checked on 30th because its knocking so with that sorted it will be a great place to be and a great car to own

Cannot recall trying the foot on the brake from low down but all modern LRs are remapped so you cannot do this in certain circumstances, (it used to be a way of getting heat into the brake pads during bedding in). I'll try the sc later. I'm a left foot brake merchant but because I've been driving a manual car a lot recently I'm not doing it all the time in the FF.
