Just for info I don't think they are available anymore and as Haylands says I think the RRP was north of £3k! The last of the L322 winch installation kits were bought as a batch warehouse clearance from LR by Extreme 4x4 and I don't think even they have any left now.

Would that even pull the skin off a rice pudding? i bought a biggun- 13500lbs. theory is that i can use it for all other bits, and it wont take forever to winch it back in!! |

A 2000lb winch will easily pull a 6000lb trailer without any bother, that 13,500lb winch will pull over 40,000lbs... maybe a bit of overkill..... but heck, it's your money... Pete

Correct, I am sure adding a winch to the front of a TDV8 took the front axle load over its weight limit 56 TDV8 Vogue SE 9 Freelanders, 2x 2002 TD4ES, 2001 TD4, 2002 1.8GS, 2000 XEDI, 2x 2000 1.8ES, 2004 1.8 & 2000 1.8 GS (rolled) 91 Lotus Carlton (sold) 90 Lotus Elan (BRG) |

I'm pretty sure the two press vehicles that LR did for the aborted 2009(?) G4 challenge were TDV8s with winches. I'm sure verydisco can correct me. Supposedly it "can" put the front axle overweight but that may be with steel ropes rather than Dyneema or synthetic. Ed |
