2002 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Epsom Green

Just for info I don't think they are available anymore and as Haylands says I think the RRP was north of £3k! The last of the L322 winch installation kits were bought as a batch warehouse clearance from LR by Extreme 4x4 and I don't think even they have any left now.
Mind you if anyone wants one I'll take mine off for £3k and even include the precut bumper Laughing

If your pulling a three ton trailer up a slipway then you only need a very small winch, these are real cheap and will run off a cigarette lighter socket in the boot and hang on the towbar...

Something like this..

Would that even pull the skin off a rice pudding? Wink

i bought a biggun- 13500lbs. theory is that i can use it for all other bits, and it wont take forever to winch it back in!! Very Happy

A 2000lb winch will easily pull a 6000lb trailer without any bother, that 13,500lb winch will pull over 40,000lbs... maybe a bit of overkill..... but heck, it's your money... Pete

haha well the price difference wasnt exactly mahoosive so i thought sod it!! Wink

its a bit of a beast but for what its worth, i can use it for a load of uses. plus if i really understrain it, it may last longer (as its only a cheap chinese one!) well.. i can hope anyway!!

Ps remember that the slipway has a pretty big gradient..!

Winch was never offered by LR on a TDV8 platform was it? There must be reasons as to why it was NOT offered by them? If not due to weight???

Correct, I am sure adding a winch to the front of a TDV8 took the front axle load over its weight limit 56 TDV8 Vogue SE

I'm pretty sure the two press vehicles that LR did for the aborted 2009(?) G4 challenge were TDV8s with winches. I'm sure verydisco can correct me.

Supposedly it "can" put the front axle overweight but that may be with steel ropes rather than Dyneema or synthetic. Ed
