issues with my 2003 4.4 v8

well im not letting this RR beat me, been spot on since i purchased her, although i noticed i sticking caliper i ordered a set of rear discs ect, so am hoping this will sort out the wobble through the steering wheel at around 55-70 if not i shall be getting tracking and balancing done, but have noticed now when i start her the fan comes on straight away, is this normal? and im sure i heard a knock on start up....or its me getting paranoid its just the little niggles that are causing concern

I don't think new discs will sort out a sticking caliper...

What fan are you talking about, heater, engine or aircon?? Pete

I'd start with a full 4 wheel laser alignment and wheel balance and take it from there...

What fan are you talking about?? Pete

thought i would update this, new discs and pads fitted to the rear, we managed to find the cause of the irritating wobble when driving, it was 4 x 5mm cast spacers one on each wheel......had the mot done straight through and no advisories

If you're talking about the fan 'inside' the engine bay, then this is a viscous fan, it spins all the time. However with the engine off and a cold engine you should be able to turn the fan freely by hand. When the viscous clutch in the hub gets hot it locks up and drives the fan harder.

If you cant turn the fan easily by hand when it's cold, then the viscous clutch is seized.
