On my '02 there was no intermediate connector for the FR pipe, just one long run from the flexi connection back to the ABS around the bulkhead. Guess for replacements they saw the error of their ways  .

It's like exhausts, they're one piece from the factory, but replacements come in bits.

Ive just replaced both my front brake lines due to MOT failure,

Buy them from Dan, they are cheap and they are factory parts ready for fitting

Are the factory parts pre-shaped? or just a straight piece?

pre shaped, same as what your replacing, no faffing about needed apart from the actual fitting

Just be sure to specify which ones you want.

Just a shame they don't do them in copper.

In fact i think all manufacturers should be legally obliged to do them in a non-corrosive material, copper, stainless etc. Volvo used to do them in Copper from the factory!

Exactly, yet they've all started building them with stainless exhausts.

Which is why they'd need to be compelled to fit decent brake pipes by law.

Just had a quick squint at the car. Can't see any join in the right hand pipe. Looks like I'll have to order the bulkhead pipe as well, along with the link to join the two together.

I've got the replacements from LR which are pre-shaped. however- they don't look the same as what's on the car. Granted I haven't took it apart yet but they seem to follow a different shape. Might involve a bit of twisting and bending here and there!

The pipes on the diagram are the wrong ones. The diagram is for a TDV8 and they are different. Turns out I need a full length one SGB000731 and SGB000741 are the correct part no's for a Td6

That sounds fiddly! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I agree Joe. I wish I had gone down that route now.

I fitted the nearside one this morning and that was a bit of a pain. Managed to do it at full height with the wheel still on, but I had the same problem as you in that the pipe fitting was well and truly seized into the flexi. I just cut the whole thing off and fitted a new genuine LR flexi with clip. I had to straighten out the top of the steel pipe slightly to get it up through and behind the modulator. It helps to unbolt the modulator and move it to one side a little as it gives you a bit more room to manoeuvre. Bent it back into shape and it looks original again.
Wheel arches came out no problem but the smaller one snapped on its way back in

One side done. Tomorrow the fun starts with the offside!!
