That's a few spacers Shocked

I could never figure out why the tow bar comes up that far short of the bumper

I used to have to do a similar thing with my bike rack, but I didn't like to have the tow hall mounted on so much packing.

Bringing it out further from the bumper reduces the amount of vertical load you can have on the tow ball. So i would imagine they've kept it close to keep the vertical load limit as high as possible.

Yep, I have the MaxRaxx as well but when I measured it from the centre line of the rear wheels the extra 36mm made a massive 2.97% difference so the maximum vertical load of 150KG (250KG if you reduce the max load in the boot by 100KG) was about 4 kilos. Since the caravan hitch and the one on the Ifor Williams are max rated at 100KG it doesn't matter.

@Cliff. Add another inch or two mate. You'll protect the back window as well then Laughing

Rolling with laughter tis for a very good reason Wink ...unlike you chaps with tin tents ,I very rarely park on nice flat level ground when I have the trailer on,so as you unhitched & level up the trailer the drawbar ends up as high as or even higher than the bumper and more often than not the drawbar extends out towards the FF,so it's only a matter of time before the bumper is Censored ...I know i look stupid Whistle
Oh and only one spacer used Thumbs Up

@dom Rolling with laughter Ner Ner
