United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Santorini Black

I mounted mine here - it's to the left but seems a wide enough field of vision & I can't see it Very Happy

the cable then just pushes up into the headlining - no effort or tricks - I just tucked it in - then ran it across the top of the pillar air bag - big screwdriver to lever it open just enough to tuck the cable in -

Then behind the door rubber the other side - just lift that with your fingers & the cable sits behind it.

Then drop the lower glovebox & open to expose the fuse box - do this by pressing down on the sides of the hinge things - as per the instruction manual - sorry for the blurred photo -

You can then push the side panel out -

you can remove that side panel completely with a bit of twisting, then route the cable into the fuse box area and replace the panel.

Fitting it to the fusebox, I used a mini piggyback fuse and as there was nowhere easy to bolt an earth to, I used a crocodile clip mount the metalwork.

I can't remember which fuse I used, but you can make it out from the blur maybe - but it was an ignition live one rather than permanent.

From the outside you can hardly see it - my telepeage tag is more of a distraction -

I hope that helps Thumbs Up

Embarassed I wondered who would be the first to spot that

It didn't particularly hurt & doesn't now - but does look a mess Big Cry

Not a FFRR related injury - caught between door & frame

No way was I touching the trim in my RR Autobiography, so I used eric at www.dashwitness.com and he arranged the Blackvue cam and a very professional specialist fitting service who came to the house and did it. Discount on the car insurance now, yippee!!

How is the view Alistair ?? Since the wiper doesn't seem to cover the entire lens area or is that just the angle of the shot ??? MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

I moved it down and in a bit yesterday - I was picked my up too much of the blacked out area - it was clear enough, just irritated me - if I moved it more to the passenger side I lost the drivers corner of the bonnet

nice install Alistair, I did a similar thing on my old L322 (the wire was a bit more difficult to route) but I was dreading doing it on my 405 thinking the trim was going to be a lot more fiddly to get off....and of course breaking something on my new pride and joy Rolling Eyes

On the positive side you are road legal if you have one with a visible screen as you aren't supposed to be able to view them on the move I understand. I have mine mounted behind the rear view mirror for that reason.
