Just resurrecting this thread as yesterday I lost my navigation, GPS has a red line through it (I was suddenly in the sea as opposed on land!). Running the 753 diagnostics shows the satellites but no signals being received and the self test says all ok so I think my GPS antennae may be goosed. Co-incidentally the hands free phone kit with the phone installed can't find any network either? Any thoughts apart from my own conclusion?

the roof mounted pod has both the gps and phone antenna so its faulty cabling or the unit itself..

You can take the fin off take it apart 7 or 8 small torx screws remove the PCB for the antenna, buy a generic one off ebay 7 quid remove the PCB from that put it into your fin and away you go very simples quick and cheap fix

my car had not got the phone antenna in so I added that as well, came combined with the GPS from fleabay

New sharkfin from Ducky Dan was about £60 ex-VAT and yes it solved my problem. Turned out moisture had ingressed between the seal where the antennae meets the roof and over the last few years and I think that goosed the internals or the cables. It's a simple enough job to do but take care with the headlining (I had a mate support it whilst working) as creasing it looked a possibility - not much room to work but if you are half useful with a spanner and take care it is straightforward. Couple of bolts and clips is all.

Same here A paint to remove due to having fat hands but just about doable with the small ratchet and socket on the end the cables were the fiddliest bit as i didnt want to unclip the loom! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
