This maybe better placed for Patrick @GAP but thought I'd ask here first. I have a 2010 Vogue FF and my neighbour has just bought a 54 plate Disco (1,2 or 3 dunno ) and was asking about IID.

Just a thought but rather than buy a whole new unit, do you know if it's possible to get another VIN code for mine so we can both use it even though the vehicles are so far apart on model year.

I have the latest IID Bluetooth tool.

AFAIK this changed during the last update, they can now work across the range to clear faults, used to be vehicle specific so if your mate had the same vehicle it would work but now it works with all the vehicles they do... So if you buy the extra VIN it should do all it does to yours, on his...

The Pro is closer to £2k, but perfect for what I need it for

As of V3 update, the Bluetooth version tool can be used on all models for diagnostics only

CCF editing, Software updates etc are limited to a single VIN, though additional VIN's can be purchased

Mikey - I think that is what I was asking. If I (or he) buys the extra vin for the IID BT will we both be able to use it to it's full potential. I think the answer is yes but awaiting the rely from Patrick at GAP.

Correct. 2 VINs will allow you to use the tool fully on both cars, software updates, CCF edits, service functions etc
