gearbox oil

Im going to change the oil in the box very soon as im getting the shudder and booming sound (as if its like as heat sheld resonating) as well as changing the filter to see if that stops it, if not shes gettin a toyota badge stuck on the back end as a threat to change!

My question is I have seen on here that miller oil has been used which one?? ( http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic12953.html?highlight=esso+oil ) has anyone else has good results or is it only best to use Esso or mobil Lt71141? I know about Dexron 3 is a no no Thumbs Up

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

I used this company:

I can't fault them (and I think they have a depot near you) and after an idiot company put dexron in I sent for the correct stuff from this company and got my own garage to do the change. You will need to do repeated drain and fill changes using the full 20 litres if you want to end up with nearly all new fluid. My 4.4 had the same 'cattle grid' & 'hum' but since the change has been fine - even towing the tin tent over Easter. Current: 2004 Vogue 4.4 V8 - 2004 Discovery 2
