After checking & clearing codes with hex helping me out with the fault reading, we got two main faults. One was the gearbox selector switch, which is what triggers the "Trans fail safe prog" when you go to reverse/park to drive etc. The other code given was "ambient temp sensor" & the car reads -40c outside.

Also on the way back it stuck in 2nd gear, manual mode would not shift it either. After pulling over for 5 mins & restarting again it was ok but never chucked up a fault code. 2004 RR 4.4 V8 Autobiography

Ok so far seems I need to get the inhibitor switch for the gearbox as it just keeps going into "trans fail safe" everytime I go from park. I then put it in neutral & turn it off & on, then its fine. Was the car ever towed?
Check the fuses in the glovesbox
Is there one in slot 37? Bottom row

I had it on mine it's supposed to be removed
After the car is towed if theres a bit of movement you get the transferbox
Neutral message come I had this at a car wash & couldn't move lol
Removed the fuse & all has been fine since mine was bought from auction so was
Obviously towed there
