HLDF Can bootloader problem

Greetings.

Few months ago I get secondhand Land Rover Range Rover Vogue and have problem with sat/nav. Screen is blank with "HLDF can bootloader" message on it.

The dealer service in my town have checked all the connections and stuff, but could not solve the problem. The only thing that they have said - that it's corrupted firmware and they will try to ask manufacturer about firmware disk. But with time seems it's impossible for them to do.

Does anyone here have any friends dealers and can ask them about that firmware disk?

if yours is a touch screen then what you need is a 2009/2010 map disc which has an updated firmware included..ebay is your best bet. ... - .- -.

update:

Today I borrowed a friend's DVD with map of Eastern Europe 2009/2010 (№ 464110-7570)
After inserting disc into the navigation system drive I can hear that the disc spins up, head leaves and returns once. But there are no sounds of reading from disc and message on screen do not change.

Any ideas?

the only thing i can think of is to disconnect the battery and wait 30 minutes ..hopefully this might reboot the sat nav and make it work properly..

edit..this might help as well.. http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic2294.html?highlight=hldf ... - .- -.

Land Rover TSB 86/02/05/NAS describes this exact problem (which I had on my '05) and the solution which is a software/firmware update. It takes 45 minutes and needs to be done by a stealer with a special boot disc which is LR p/n YIA500010 Cheers,

Aaron

No worries scarey, when my system went blank except for that message I was expecting a $2K+ bill for some component replacement. Thankfully, a little digging on LR Topix revealed the fix Wink

Seems that it only affected 2005 models of FFRR and LR3. Cheers,

Aaron

Just bought my `04 Vogue 2 weeks ago. Cd changer was acting a little weird and cds would not always play and magazine would get stuck some times while loading. Sorted after keeping the car off for a few mins then turning on but yesterday touch screen went blank with HLDF CAN BOOTLOADER message. I see people have success sorting this using update dvd.

Wondering if anyone has the software and could be helpful in this matter?
