I can't believe that someone would be THAT STUPID to make such a reference. If that is true than that person needs to be fired, dragged into court, publically flogged and rot in jail for a decade after paying a 10 million fine. How can anyone in his right mind say such a thing or even think it ????? How can someone be that monumentally stupid is beyond me. Whoever it is is either going to be crucified or it will be denied till the cows come home and then some.

This whole case is just becoming the most tragic comedic show of the year, with more tragedy than comedy but still. Bizarre. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

JEREMY Clarkson's Top Gear co-hosts REFUSED to continue the rest of the series without him, according to reports.

James May and Richard Hammond "didn't want to do it without Jeremy" a BBC executive reportedly said.

An option to have the pair fronting the studio segments of the show for the remaining episodes of this series was rejected, the unnamed executive said. ====================================

"Open Mike Night " sounded like a lot of fun until i found out i was going to an Autopsy

I think it should be me.

I have lots of surface knowledge about cars and can also easily offend people.

They should all leave set up a new production company called "Overdrive" sell it to Channel four and we can all get back to our relaxing Sunday evening viewing. Maybe 10-15 shows a year plus a two part Xmas Special.

And they would make packets if they did that Gary, I'm sure. Hopefully they clean up the formula a bit and make it a better mix of sillyness and "real testing".

However, it may be that the contract with the BBC said something to the effect that they can't go anywhere else or do a show that is "similar to Top Gear". Although that could also be in contravention of some UK/EU laws about unfair competition or something along those lines. The same goes for the old competitor clause in the O&G industry where you weren't allowed to work for a competitor for a certain time. That was thrown out in court quite quickly Smile.

Anyway, I expect them (JC/Hamster/May) to come up with a way to give us something akin to Top Gear away from the BBC and the BBC going nowhere with TG. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

How about a show called "NOT TOP GEAR."

Similar to their USA trip where they were allowed to be "entertaining," just factual.

I know the Beeb is getting an awful lot of a bashing in the GB because of this affair, but – with or without Top Gear – you guys really don’t seem to know how lucky you are to have the Beeb!
The Beeb is, I think, recognised as being one of (if not the) best broadcaster in the world. Personally, I can only compare it with what’s on the box here in France, where – quite frankly – there is no comparison as French TV is such rubbish.
But for a concrete example: today I watched the Beeb live coverage of the solar eclipse. OK, the same old presenters were rolled out and there was much too much blah-blah, but at least it was factual, mildly entertaining and informative – I actually learned some things (how our ancestors in many different civilisations and cultures perceived the eclipse, how to view the eclipse if you didn’t have solar specs (or a welding mask!) to hand, and so on). And yes, the whole thing was a bit of a damp squib given the overcast sky, but at least you had something, via the good old Beeb!
Here in ze Land of ze Frogs, there was a report on the news tonight, but when the eclipse was actually happening there was nothing …just the usual rubbishy programs.
Anyway, I for one hope Clarkson comes back, with his team, with the same old tired format – which nevertheless is informative and entertaining. Unless you’re Argentinian, gay, black (am I allowed to use those words?), German, Mexican, Romanian, mentally-disabled, a caravanist, …. …. …. It's "bĂ©bĂ©choon", ackcherly, with accents. 'Steve' to my chums.

TG is superb car based entertainment....I don't want William Woollard or Noel Edmonds telling me the wheelbase length or amount of foot room in a Rover SD1...I do want a supercar racing through Dubai or a drive in Mumbai or a track test....with Jezza's sarcasm, Hammond's quirkyness and May's upper lip.....it's entertainment with cars...not the other way around. Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........
