Just replaced mine, but the new one is a plastic casing with small metal pins and the old one is all metal with huge pins.

Hi Ian Have you ever had to replace the rear FSR? My TD6 is on her 3rd FSR (front) in 7 years, damn things. Someone mentioned the rear one too but no one seemed to know much about it |

I’ve had many problems with FSR and intermittent operation of the blower. After two years of swapping FSR’s checking motors and duct servo units, I finally found that the problem was actually the connector to the FSR.

It’s been 6 months since my last post where I had replaced the FSR plug and tail of the connecting harness. The blower and heating controls had all then been ok for 6 months until two weeks ago and the blower stopped working (now that it’s been icy !!)

If I am not mistaking now, did't this happen when you pull the blower relay out or was it the fsr plug?

Currently with the FSR in, the bower is on Full, even when the car is locked i.e. battery drain...

Just inserted the new FSR and the Blower is no longer on Full all the time. Blower control apears to have reverted to normal I'll see how it gets on in the following weeks. ------------------------------------- MY 2012 4.4 TDV8 |

I’ve found with the new FSR from Amazon, it only increments the Blower speed on the first 3 increments of the Blower Speed.
