Ive noticed my screen will fluctuate with brightness for example it gets dim if it is extremely cold outside.

Hi Chillb, glad I am not alone with this problem Very Happy Today it was fine, it was dark when I drove home from the station and the TFT was dimmed. I don't think it is related to the headlight settings, there must be something elsewhere in the car that monitors light sensitivity. Random RR fault.....no surely not Shocked

Cheers,

Yea they actually "warm-up" after a little while and they are back to normal so I typically don't bother with it.

Mine has a light sensor top right above the phone button. If I cover it up it dims the display, but only if the headlights are on. My Previous RR's!

Checked and mine, 08, does not have a sensor on or near the screen, only the dash lights dim from the wheel. There is in the settings menu a screen brightness and colour change but surely this is cannot be the only way to access while driving. I remember of my old 03 model, the screen and dash lights dimmed from the wheel by the headlights.
Anyone else with an 08 where the screen does not dim with the wheel Question Porsche 993 Targa, Buick Skylark Convertable 1968

Oh Whistle
Did see that but thought it was an indication light of some sort. So without digging a bigger hole, should it automatically dim at night or should I be able to control in addition by the use of the 'dimmer wheel' Porsche 993 Targa, Buick Skylark Convertable 1968

Stan is right on the money Thumbs Up

The D3 uses the same screen setup (believe it or not) and cutting one wire changes the D3 screen into L322 mode! BUT... Albeit quite dull as the D3 does NOT have the light sensor found in a RR!

So, i would assume your screen if malfunctioning if it is NOT dimming with the ambient light around the cockpit...
