Ive noticed my screen will fluctuate with brightness for example it gets dim if it is extremely cold outside. |

thats normal...the lcd crystals get cold and also they dont get enough voltage so the screen doesnt function properly ....a vehicle re-start will sort it.. ... - .- -.

Yea they actually "warm-up" after a little while and they are back to normal so I typically don't bother with it. |

Mine has a light sensor top right above the phone button. If I cover it up it dims the display, but only if the headlights are on. My Previous RR's!

...or, go to a car window tinter and get an offcut and place over problem screen........sorted. ... - .- -.

Checked and mine, 08, does not have a sensor on or near the screen, only the dash lights dim from the wheel. There is in the settings menu a screen brightness and colour change but surely this is cannot be the only way to access while driving. I remember of my old 03 model, the screen and dash lights dimmed from the wheel by the headlights.

Mike, yours does have a sensor ...its number 12 on the diagram..

your dimmer wheel should dim it slightly.[as well as your speedo/rev dash bit btw] ... - .- -.
